YPG Website Development

Counting down to the launch of the YPG website, we've stripped out all the test content in the Blog and Forum sections, so all that's left is this solitary Blog showing you what the rest could look like...

The 'About 'section

Section Added: 9th September 2008

There isn't much left to do now - editing some of the existing content and adding a few new bits and pieces should keep me busy during the next couple of weeks.

I'm also trying to get John Morgan's video to the best quality possible without the filesize being too big. Maybe we should have asked him to talk less? ;-)

There's lots of video footage and stills so hopefully I can organise them and put some of those on the site too.

Oh and a nice cafe illustration should be winging its way to me shortly...

Section Added: 11th September 2008

I think the About Us section is complete now, although getting the John Morgan video to a decent quality is proving to be pretty difficult.

I've received some great examples of emotional mapping today so am planning to put those online this afternoon.

Emotional Mapping

Who would have thought that the road to success goes past Leicester??

Section Added: 12th September 2008

Today's tasks have included setting up two alternatives for the Emotional Maps and converting the Cafe Principles table into a PDF.

I need to get some feedback now before going any further...

Section Added: 15th September 2008

Did lots of work on the Conversation area today - I hope to get it completed in the morning.

Received a lovely cafe illustration today too so will add that to the site tomorrow.

Section Added: 16th September 2008

Today I've gone as far as I can with the Conversation section - just need to get some video clips sorted out and then I'll be able to complete that area.

I've also set up an alternative Cafe Conversations page using the lovely new illustration.

I've just been adding some information about an exciting new project called My World in 60 Seconds. It was developed by some of the teachers involved in the YPG project and asks young people to capture their world in a one minute film.

It sounds like a really cool project and has got me thinking about how I'd represent my world in 60 seconds...

Have a look at the My World page to find out more.

Where do all those odd socks go to?

Lots of new content has been added during the past week and we're not far from launch now. New videos, maps of experience, the Langtree School project, and some thoughts from teachers and students in the Get Involved area.

This afternoon I'll be putting the finishing touches to the maps of experience pages, adding some vox pops, and making a few tweaks here and there...

Not long now!

Section Added: 24th October 2008

Launch day today! Putting the final touches to everything as I speak...

I'm looking forward to finding out what people think to the site!
